Even our 18 month old could go on some of the rides and our 6 year old could go on a lot of the rides on her own. A great family day out with over 50 different attractions and rides included in the price. The variety of things to see and do includes thrilling and gentle rides, dinosaurs, museums, animated shows, play areas, exotic birds and other fun activities for all ages in garden setting. The
best time to go is during the school term (when the park is open!) its
virtually empty and there is very little queueing. See What's on for special events including Noddy and Bob the Builder guest appearances. |

Cheaper deals for online tickets. |
Opening Hours | Generally 10am to 6 but not open all year - check the website or call for exact opening times on the day you want to go. |
Comments | This is nice day out for the younger children. As well as the lego displays there are rides and an area to build lego. However we thought it was a bit expensive
and VERY busy during school holidays. BEWARE! Tip:
Each year Legoland sell tickets which include a second visit for free.
Not everyone can do the second visit and sell their tickets on ebay.
A good deal can be had but please check the small print and ebayers
ratings to minimise a dodgy deal! |
Top Name | The London Eye | Address | Waterloo | Tel No | 0870 5000 600 | Web Site | www.londoneye.com | Admission Price | Adults £15.00 Children £7.50 Under 5s Free
(online tickets slightly cheaper see below) | Opening Hours | Daily from 9.30 Closing times vary see website for details | Comments | If you are around the Waterloo area this is a must for the kids. Our children loved it, and our 1 year old couldn't run off very far in the capsule! We just turned up and there was a huge queue - we called the booking line there and then and got tickets immediately! (Remember to get little ones to go to the toilet first!!) Afterward there is a comprehensive play area very near by. If you are driving up at the weekend there is parking on the South side of the river around the Waterloo area for £10 a day - probably cheaper than a family return on South West Trains. |

Top Name | River Thames Boat Trip | Address | Westminster Pier, Victoria Embankment, London SW1A 2JH | Tel No | 0207 930 4097 | Web Site | www.riverthames.co.uk | Admission Price | Varies depending on route and operator. But around £20 return for a family of 4. | Opening Hours | 10 am til 4pm | Comments | Once you have finished on the London Eye, take a trip up the Thames as far as the Thames Barrier. Spend some time in Greenwich and get a later boat back. Our boat had a secure lower deck where our children could see all the sights of London but still roam around freely. There are several operators servicing this route - Just turn up on the pier and compare prices and times to suit. |

There is a family cycle route through the forest with just a few gentle hills. Cycles, cycle extensions and pull along carts for hire by the hour. An extensive adventure playground with a difference. Also there are organised walks, playtimes and storytimes: Babes in the wood |
Top Name | The Beach | Address | West Wittering | Tel No | 01243 514143 | Web Site | www.westwitteringbeach.co.uk | Admission Price | Parking prices vary depending on season - there are other places to park free in the residential area close by if you are prepared for a bit of walk. | Opening Hours | 6.30 -20.30 Summer time 7.00-18.00 Winter time (I think this is the car park) | Comments | This beach just outside Chichester takes under a hour to get to and is probably one of the best beaches close to Farnham. Large white sands stretch for miles, sand dunes and very unspoilt. Ever heard of child safe zones? Well West Wittering beach is one of them: waterproof wrist bands that can contain child's address and phone numbers can be purchased from the lifeguards and local shops. Click here for more details |

One of our visitors gave this review: Great for little
ones, they have lots of toddler climbing frames and swings, good baby facilities
(microwave and plenty of highchairs as well as standard baby changing). Little
cars that you can use to push them around in available as well. We went with an
8 year old and a 1 year old (not walking) and they both loved it. Lots for the
big one, and lots for the little one. Great all round family day out. Restaurant
very expensive though, so recommend taking stuff with you. |

The centre-piece is a complete Edwardian Fairground where you can experience all the fun of the fair from the 1870's; from the gentle "Golden Gallopers" to the first "White Knuckle" rides. The fun continues as you experience our three steam railways, and traction engine rides. Other attractions include period farming demonstrations, farm animals, sawmill and spectacular historic woodland gardens including azaleas and rhododendrons which are in bloom during may." |

New to this site, this place took us 45 minutes to get to
at the weekend, will be a bit longer during the week along the dreaded
M25. Well worth a visit for all railway enthusiasts! An
amazing model railway, a ride on railway, good play area and picnic
area. |

Longleat is a little further than an hour but worth a
visit. Its quite geared up for the under 5's including Postman
Pats village, adventure playground train and boat ride. Great
splash zone if you can remember to bring a towel and swimwear. The
passport ticket lets you go on all the attractions including the safari
and if you don't use it all you can go back another day on the same
ticket. Our 3 year old found the safari a bit tedious - it can get
very busy at the weekends |
