The school is funded and the staff employed by the LEA and the LEA usually determine and administer admissions policy Voluntary Aided: The land and buildings are owned by a voluntary organisation, usually a church, but the governing body is responsible for running the school. The school has shared funding between the LEA, the governing body and the voluntary organisation. Admissions policy is determined and administered by the governing body in consultation with the LEA. Community: Schools built, maintained and staffed by a local education authority, the full cost falling on public funds (Fees are not payable) Independent: Schools totally independent from the LEA and rely soley on fees payable as funding
