Little Kickers

Comments:

These sessions are split into two age groups: 2.5 to 3.5 years and 3.5 to 5 years.   Each session has 3 x 15 minute sections.  Its pretty much party games with a football but its great fun, good exercise, a good lesson in team playing and my son is very excited each Tuesday to be going along!   Courses in Farnham at the Bourne Tennis Club but also at Crondall, Farnborough and Guildford. Both boys and girls welcome. See website for details.

Address: Farnham Sports Centre

Comments:

Bounce-a-lot: Courses available for 2-4 year olds with an accompanying adult. Booking essential

Bouncing Toddlers: Courses available for a session of fun on the trampoline.  Minimum age: 3 years old. Booking essential.

Swimming

Address: Farnham Sports Centre

Tel: 01252 711119

Comments:

Various classes available on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat.   For the younger ones. An adult is expected to accompany them in the water.  For older ones (3+) they can go in on their own.

The booking system is a bit cumbersome.  To get your required lesson you have to turn up on an allotted Saturday booking morning and queue.  The later you get there the less chance you have of getting your place.  It usually starts at 9.00am but if there are limited places people have been known to be there at 8.00am or even before.  The best course of action is to ring up on the Friday before and find out how many places are available on the required course times.  If there are many then you can afford to get there a bit later.  Take a flask of coffee and some reading matter as it can be a long wait.

Mid week and weekend courses run all through the year including half term and holidays. Add parking costs on to the true cost of the lessons.  PLEASE NOTE THAT POOLS CLOSE 9TH NOVEMBER 2009 FOR REFURBISHMENT

Comments:  Although this is a bit further out the booking system is better:  Just ring and put your name on the waiting list and wait for the call.  Class sizes are up to 8 for the little ones.  No arm bands are used and we think these classes are a bit friendlier than Farnham with nursery rhymes and more child orientated activities helping your child build confidence in the water and feel comfortable about going under.  Swimming hats must be worn that are available at reception.  Mid week and weekend courses run all through the year including half term and holidays.  Parking costs apply.

Address: Aldershot Swimming pools

Comments:  Affiliated with Farnborough the same format applies and same teachers. Free parking.

Address:  All Hallows School

Tel: 01252 714698

Comments:  A smaller, cosier pool normally with more than one lesson going on at a time so it can get quite busy for spectators.  Mixed abilities can be in the same class but split by more than one teacher in the pool.  Mid-week and weekend courses run only during term time.  Toddler sessions can get quite full, older/better ability  children places are more available. Free parking
